AGC Plasma engineers arrived at the Paranal site of the ESO Astronomy
AGC Glass Europe is proud to be part of one of the most important projects in modern astronomy.
We are pleased to announce that our AGC Plasma engineers arrived at the Paranal site of the ESO Astronomy (European Southern Observatory) to install the vacuum coating equipment used to produce the reflective silver-based coatings on the mirror segments of the 40-meter M1 primary mirror at 3,000 meters altitude in the Atacama Desert of northern Chile, the ELT will be the largest optical telescope in history!
